With April and wildflowers here, I decided to take my mom for a wildflower drive. We drove out 290 to Carmine Texas, where we had to stop at Weikle's Bakery for their famous pecan bar. We took backroads through acres of vibrant Indian Paint Brushes and brilliant bluebonnets! Mom is in failing health, on a walker with oxygen. This is one of the things I do to improve her quality of life. We stopped in Lockhart Texas at Kruez's Meat Market and picked up BBQ, then it was off to their city park for a picnic. Beautiful day, beautiful weather, beautiful scenery and beautiful times with my mom!
